Neighbors:

It's time for the holidays again! Turkey, presents, and increased crime.
Last year we had good luck with security patrols that ended up with 4
arrests of potential thieves. We are looking to have patrols again this
year and would like everyone's support.

We are asking for a minimum $60 donation per household to pay for security
patrols. While I recognize that the economic climate has changed since last
year, any incremental donation would be appreciated. APD does expect that
crime will also increase as a result of the economy. We are hoping to
collect enough voluntary funds so that the patrols would run for the 6 weeks
from Thanksgiving to New Years. The timing and duration of the patrols is
totally dependent on the participation level of the neighborhood. We would
be using a respected security company that uses either off-duty or retired
police officers for all patrols.

PAYMENT OPTIONS:
--Bring check to GA meeting on Nov 18th (if you plan to do this, please email me so I can include you on the tallies of participants)
--Send check to POBOX 7845, Atlanta, GA, 30357
--Use the PayPal link on www.loringheights.net (click the "donate" button)

Like last year, if we do not get enough support to have the patrols, your money will be refunded.

Zone 2 only has 10 squad cars to patrol all of Zone 2.  They are doing a great job but they cannot be in all places at once.  10 cars in 50 square miles is not a lot of coverage.  Please help us make Loring Heights a more secure place to live.

Lock your doors and your cars.  Do not leave ANYTHING in sight in your cars.  The thieves are watching.  The security patrols can only do so much.  We have to help out.
